You have been gifted with intuition, power, love, and wisdom.
The elders are calling you to step into the circle to share your path, your stories, your lessons and your knowledge.
“Women need to sit in circles, not because we need healing, but because we need replenishment. Women need to go deep. Sitting in circle nourishes the soul.”
~Amari Gold
What Are Sacred Moon Women’s Circles?
Sacred Moon Women’s Circles are communities of women who are holding sacred space in yoga studios, homes and other locations around the world. In these circles you can nurture your spirit and unlock your creativity in a powerful group setting. During sacred circle we explore what it means to be a woman. We create rituals around the seasons, the moon phases and the astrological cycle. We light candles, we read Oracle cards and we do smudge ceremonies. We drink tea, we eat treats, and we anoint ourselves with fragrant essential oils. We dance, we sing, we play! We tune in to the higher powers and our own intuition. We birth new ideas and shed parts of ourselves that we no longer wish to carry. We become one with others and our own soul, as we unleash our true essence in sacred circle.
The Power Of Circle
“The Circle is everyday ceremony: the invention of our most ancient Godmothers, who upon witnessing the myriad ways nature exalted this humble shape, claimed it as the spiritual center of their communities. Held by the simple rituals of opening & completion, honoring & appreciation, the Circle acts as a vehicle for both storytelling & transcending our stories. In Circle, we are conversing with the divine.” ~Baraka Elihu.
How It All Started
Sacred Moon Women’s Circles was birthed after I was looking online for a Women’s Circle to join in the Toronto area. I found individual websites and Eventbrite listings, but there wasn’t one place on the web that listed Women’s Circles from around the world. It was then that I decided to create a place where women could Find A Circle in their home town or in another community during their travels. I enrolled in Sora Surya No’s Sacred Circle training, and now I lead a sacred circle every New Moon in the Toronto area.
“The Circle has healing power. In the Circle we are all equal. When in the Circle, no one is in front of you and no one is behind you. No one is above you. No one is below you. The Sacred Circle is designed to create unity. The Hoop of Life is also a circle. On this hoop there is a place for every species, every race, every tree, and every plant. It is this completeness of Life that must be respected in order to bring about health on this planet. To understand each other, as the ripples when a stone is tossed into the waters, the Circle starts small and grows…until it fills the whole lake.”
